The Ishimura was a Planetcracker-class starship besieged by grotesque reanimations of its dead crew, known as “Necromorphs.”Īfter unearthing a strange artifact known as the Marker, Isaac finds himself on the Sprawl, a giant space station in orbit around Saturn. Sorry find myself compelled to defend it whenever a reddit thread comes upĪnyway if you get it legitimately let me know im be down to coop! It's been out for years so can get super cheap lol.In Dead Space™ 2, you join Isaac Clarke, the Systems Engineer from Dead Space, as he wakes up three years after the horrific events on the USG Ishimura.

Don't get with this is the lightning rod for all that hate. Like the published by EA, i'm shocked there's as little of that bullshit as there is. The weapons customization is so of the best ever yet people get super bent out of shape about the completely optional micro transactions. The unfortunately start the game fighting humans for the first and last 10 minutes of the starting mission so everyone thinks it's just a regular shooter, but after that it's pretty much pure dead space. There's literally like 3-4 tiny sections where you fight humans in a 15-20 hour campaign yet people act like it's a piece of shit military shooter, it's WILD how much hate this game gets. It's not as scary as the other ones but there's still a lot of good things about it. IDGAF about frame rate but this is the game that showed me what having >60fps is all about, feels soooo good. It's a gorgeous game and a fantastic port, the m+kb controls feel smooth as butter. People turn into cavemen with DS3 comes it "DS 3 = poopie hurhurhur." It's a fantastic game though ignore all the circlejerk hate about it. Yeah after a certain point EA stopped putting there games on Steam, like around after Mass Effect 2 came out.
